Help with timing of medication

Hi I always take my Levothyroxine, T3 and Bendroflumethiazide at the same time in the morning, between half an hour and an hour before a cup of tea.

My question is should I continue to do this (have done this for years) or should I take the Bendroflumethiazide away from the Levo and T3 and if so what is the time spacing.

Thanking you in advance

You can take your Levo and T3 together (and you should wait an hour for your cup of tea) but any other medication should be taken at least 2 hours away from thyroid meds.

Have you read the patient information that came with the Bendroflumethiazide or did you doctor explain any effects it can have? Did you know that it can increase the amount of calcium in the blood? Be careful if you take Vit D supplement because that also increases the amount of calcium we absorb from food.

Are your electrolytes tested regularly, diuretics can upset the balance of electrolytes.

Hi SeasideSusie. Don't know why but I never thought of it. Been taking them for years. But yes will take them 2 hours away from thyroid meds. Thank you so much for advice. Best wishes Pam
