France altered their Lyvothyrox medication

Hi

Did anyone read about this event in France ? I have checked my tablets and they still contain lactose which was the ingredient they had changed to citric acid and something else. It is worrying that you cannot trace where your medication comes from as my pharmacist said they just order what the prescription is and it just comes off a shelf in a lab !

That was in 2017, I believe. Same thing happened in the UK with Teva levo. But the difference is that in the UK, you have a choice of brands. In France, there was only the Merck levo. But, if you're in the UK, I doubt you would be given the Merck Levothyrox. :)
