TSH

Hi

My TSH was 0.30 (range 0.27-4.2).

Seems a bit too low.

Does anyone know how I can improve this by myself with diet, supplements...?

Your TSH is within range.

Are you on thyroid meds?

You have Hashi's, to try and reduce antibodies low TSH is recommended (even suppressed).

Yes I'm on 75g levothyroxine since 2012.

So TSH OK in your opinion?

It seems perfect to me for a Hashi's patient, but of course it's the hormone levels that matter - FT4 and FT3. The aim of a treated hypo patient generally is for TSH to be 1 or lower with FT4 and FT3 in the upper part of their ranges if that is where you feel well.

T4 130 (59-154)

Free thyroxine (t4?) 20.2 (12-22)

Free t3 4.4 (3.1-6.8)

How do you feel?

Your FT4 is good but your FT3 is rather low at only 35% through range, they're not balanced.

I feel ok. What can I d about it?!

If you feel OK then I'd leave things as they are.

Is thete anything I can do or is it via doctor - who BTW thinks everything is tickety boo 🙄

What do you want to do? You said you feel OK.

in reply to SeasideSusie

You say my ft4 and 3 aren't balanced.

But you say you feel OK so why change anything? Those levels may be right for you, there are no set rules, we're all individual and what suits one doesn't necessarily suit someone else.

I can get tired and have bersitus in one joint but whether that's due to my thyroid I don't know.

Fatigue can be a symptom of hypothyroidism. It can also be due to low ferritin. If you want to try and improve your balance of FT4:FT3 then to help thyroid hormone work properly we need optimal nutrient levels. If you haven't already had them tested, it would be a good idea to check

Vit D - recommended is 100-150nmol/L (40-60ng/ml)

B12 - recommended is near top of range

Folate - recommended is at least half way through range

Ferritin - recommended is half way through range
