Was wondering how much T3 do you take when on Levothyroxine?
I’m on Levothyroxine and take 125mcg, I’m trying out T3 medication and want to combine the two to see if I can get my t3 levals up into the higher scale of 6.7. Mine is at 3.7 at the moment.
Thank you

What are your current results, with reference ranges, of FT4 and FT3, plus TSH. We can then suggest whether you need to lower Levo when adding T3.
T3 is added gradually, starting with 1/4 of a tablet (which would be 5mcg or 6.25mcg depending on which brand of T3 you have), then it is added 1/4 of a tablet at a time depending on how much you may eventually need. You will need to retest at some point to see how your levels are.
No, you're not! Your FT4 is top of range and FT3 just 23% through range.
As your FT4 is very top of range, my suggestion would be to reduce Levo by 25mcg then add 6.25mcg T3. I would then add another 6.25mcg T3 two weeks after that.
I was very cautious when I did this, and I then waited 6 weeks and retested to see what difference there was with my levels. It takes an awful lot of tweaking, so keep a note of what you are doing, doses, how you feel, etc, because at some stage you might want to go back to a previous dose. My doses have changed a lot over the 3 years since I added T3 to my Levo, it took me a long time to find out where I needed my FT4 and FT3 to be to feel as though my hormone levels were best, and both my T3 and Levo doses have been increased and decreased to find the best levels for me.
Yours is more complicated because of the Hashi's (I don't have that) because that's going to cause fluctuations in levels anyway.
Your ferritin and CRP are on the high side - possibly due to Hashi's causing some inflammation. Are you supplementing iron at all?
Are your Vit D, B12 and Folate all at optimal levels? They need to be before introducing T3.
Vit D - The Vit D Council recommends a level of 125nmol/L and the Vit D Society recommends a level between 100-150nmol/L.
I need to have my D vitamin tested but according to medichecks my b12 is within range, my reading is 168, their levels are between 37.50 to 188 but on blue horizons test levels theirs are 140 to 250, their saying if you fall between those readings then your insufficient so not sure who to go by!
Folate is 11.53 and their levels are 3.89 to 26.80.
Thank you for your time on this message Sussie, very much appreciated.

They're 2 different tests.
Medichecks test Active B12, which is what is available to be taken up by the cells. It has a much smaller range than Serum B12.
Blue Horizon test Serum B12 which is Total B12 - contains inactive and active B12 (a bit like Total T4 and Free T4) and has a much wider range. BH test has 3 categories - Deficient, Insufficient and Consider Reducing Dose. 145-250 comes under the "insufficient" category (as you know ).
So your Medichecks test is showing you have a very good level of Active B12 which hopefully is getting through to your cells.
Your Medichecks result of 168 can't be used against the BH range due to it only being the active B12, not total B12.
Half way through Medichecks folate range is 15.5 so you are not quite optimal there.
Taking a B Complex containing methylfolate (not folic acid). You wont need one with a massive amount of methylfolate, 200mcg should be enough. Or one with 400mcg but take alternate days. Decent brands are Igennus Super B (1 tablet daily) or Thorne Basic B (I capsule alternate days), either of these should be enough.
