Taking double dose of carbimazole

I’m on 40mg if carbimazole but missed 4 days. I took a double dose this morning, and was going to take 3 more double doses (in the next 3 days obviously) to make up for it. Is that a good idea?

I don't know for sure, but my instinct is that I wouldn't take extra but would just carry on with normal doses.

Hopefully someone will be along soon to give a proper answer.

There’s conflicting info on this on the internet so I went by my patient leaflet. This says not to take a double dose if you forget it completely. If you remember later the same day however, take it then.

I would check with your endo though as you have missed so many.
