BOOTS THYROXINE

I have always taken 50 mg x 2 per day thyroxine for many years. However my last prescription was just for one tablet 100 mg x 1 per day. Whilst I realised 50 x 2 and 100 equals the same, I have had lots of palpitations since taking the 100 tablet and I am wondering if they have different fillers or something or whether I am barking up the wrong tree. Has this happened to anyone else before

I have 100mcg and 50mcg tablets dispensed. The 50s build up as I don't actually use what I am prescribed. Sometimes I take 2 or 3 x 50s instead of 100 and 50, I don't notice any difference personally, but it's not to say that you wont.

I imagine there are more fillers in 2 x 50 than 1 x 100.

I have removed your duplicate post.

Are they different brand?

Many people don’t get on with TEVA

no same brand boots almus but I have found some 50s so I will experiment to see if it goes off. My pulse keeps reaching 136 when I am just sitting, not even moving.

You need vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 tested

Both TPO and TG Thyroid antibodies too

TSH, FT4 and FT3

Poor conversion of FT4 to FT3 is common problem, especially if vitamins are low and/or high antibodies
