ANA Blood test

Hi Everyone hope you are all as well as can be.

Just a quick question, I had a blood test for ANA two weeks ago and still the results aren't back yet is this normal timings on this type of blood test?

Any information is greatly appreciated.

more involved than most testing, and can involve dilutions (titres) and the visual reading of slides so don't panic at a 2 week turnaround... Also depends if your hospital lab does it or it gets referred to a different lab.

Hello, I’ve recently had a selection of blood tests done. The doctor said to allow two weeks before going back for the results due to the ANA taking longer. So seems normal time frame to me.

Yes they take a while as they are quite complicated to get back - whilst writing can anyone tell me how to PM someone on this site as can't seem to find it. But feel free to chase something may have gone wrong of course.

Thank you all for your replies. Just weren't sure how long they take as the nurse said 5 days just started thinking something was wrong.
