Hi all. A quick question. Can the ANA blood test with a GP indicate or not the presence of hashimotos? If you have Hashimotos will the ANA blood test show up any markers ?

Thankyou for any replies. .

As far as I know, the ANA blood test shows if there are any autoimmune problems present, but doesn't tell you where they are. So, if you have Hashi's, the ANA should be positive, that's all.

Thankyou. My thoughts are can you still have Hashimotos and have a negative response to an ANA test ?

Thankyou for confirming. Now Knowing how the ANA testing is unreliable, I am of firm belief you can have Hashi with negative ANA 😊.
