Hi new member if anyone is good a reading blood... - Thyroid UK
Hi new member if anyone is good a reading blood tests do these seem ok? x
I am not expert enough to comment of most of the results but I would be inclined to take some ferrous sulphate for a few weeks to increase ferritin if those were my results. I presume you are having hormonal issues for these tests to be done. Can you describe you symptoms so we can help assess if thyroid related or not. You doctor has not taken any of your thyroid hormone levels. For a good thyroid profile you need to have your TSH, T4 and T3 taken as well as vitamin D, folate, B12 and ferritin. Thyroid antibodies might also be helpful. It look like you are ovulating re mid cycle FSH
I have been having some women issues I had abnormal cells on cervix a few months ago they have been dealt with but my period has been funny since not a regular cycle like I was use to before I had the abnormal cells removed. So drs checked my hormones ...I'm on tablets for iron deficiency prescribed by GP x
Ferritin is too low for someone with thyroid problems - needs to be at least 70 - but GP will not treat at that level. Can't comment on th others and no thryoid tests there.
Are there any stomach friendly iron supplements?? Mine is always low but the tablets make me ill 😷

Haem (heme) and ferritin products have often been reported to cause little, if any, stomach problem.
