W.P and Nature Throid

I recently caught an article by the S.T.T.M.

I author regarding the above . I am needing to order more meds and thought that supplies of the above were more of less back on track . However this article said that there are a lot of complaints since production was renewed , and that people are finding a return of their thyroid symptoms sometimes quite badly . I don't really care if it smells or tastes different as long as it's the original tablet .

I would be glad to know before I order , if anyone has had such problems . TIA Pp

I only have experience of RLC’s other product Nature-Throid which definitely isn’t the same as it used to be. Much less potent.

And as I imagine they’re using the same raw materials to make WP, I daresay it’s quite likely to not be the same as it was...

Thanks Jazzw . There did seem to be an awful lot of complaints, even increasing dosages didn't seem to work . The trouble is it's so expensive now and takes so long to get here . Can I ask if you are still taking Nature Throid or have you found an alternative ? Pp

Crazy though it may sound, I’m still taking Nature Throid. I tried upping my dose but it didn’t seem to help so dropped it again and tried taking it in the middle of the night, which has seemed to help.

I don’t know how to get hold of any other type of NDT and Levo is worse, so I’ve decided to stick with it in the hope that over time they’ll figure out how to make it like it used to be, without ever admitting that they had to work on that...

I became seriously ill on the "new" Nature Throid from America, with high TSH and low T3 and T4 (below ranges). I had always had good blood pressure and a strong heart. It badly effected both, with ventricular fibrillation diagnosed. Frightening! I now take Thyroid-S and am slowly coming out of a slug like state, with far fewer heart "episodes". GP was no help at all, saying it was my fault for taking unknown drugs!

I did write a strong email to the American company but did not get a reply. I had been a customer of theirs for years with WP. I thought I could trust an American company over a Thai one - how wrong was I!

This whole thyroid business is a minefield and sometimes I feel we are chucked in the middle of the field without a map. Well, I stept on a big mine! And of course there is no comeback for the company...

serenfach , thanks for your reply . How awful for you it's so frightening when you feel you're on you're own . Is the one that you are taking from the same company as thyroyd ? Like you I was taking an American product thinking their strict rules would be safe . I don't know what to order now . Someone suggested Armour , but the price appears to be prohibitive and you have no guarantee of effectiveness .. I hope you have things under control now . Take care Pp
