Sharp pain in larynx

It seems each day brings more and more symptoms, perhaps my immune system is just down at the moment. The pain in my neck is getting unbearable. It has became very sharp like a knive in the right side of larynx. Painful to speak or breath deeply. I also have a rash formed round my neck which has been there for 5 days now.

Any suggestions? Googling the anatomy of the neck as I feels like something has ruptured, could this just be swollen glands?

I never personally visit the GP but it sounds as though you need to quickly. An ultrasound would be a good idea.

Ask the GP for advice. Might be a virus, tonsillitis but definitely get checked out by a GP

Seen nurse this morning, I have penicillin for suspected laryngitis and nystatin for oral thrush. Feel incredible pressure from right lobe, no idea if this is related to enlarged thyroid or a stand alone infection

Glad you sought medical advice. Hopefully the penicillin will help. Get checked out if you think you have an thyroid issue. IF you do, then there are natural ways. Naturopath, Homeopath, etc but please bear in mind that these therapies work along side and are NOT a replacement for conventional treatment.

Rash on one side of your neck? Could it be shingles (herpes zoster, caused by chicken pox virus?)

All the way round neck, I tend to come out in rashes when I’m unwell. Regardless of illness. Think I’m allergic to being ill, must be some kinda immune response
