Can any members PM me with sources for obtaining T3 without prescription please? My current supplier is out of stock and has been for quite some time, so it seems. I currently take Cynomel so would prefer to remain on the same brand if possible.
I’ve read that Thybon can be obtained via prescription in Germany (TPAUK) and Cynomel is available in France but I’m unsure from where.
I’m in the UK.

swalts Members are more likely to respond with a source of supply when a new member gives some information about their thyroid journey, and their current test results.
If you were taking Grossman Cynomel then it's unlikely you will be able to source it at the moment. It has been out of stock due to production delays and it's not known when, or if, it will become available again.
You are correct that Thybon is available on prescription in Germany, and I believe that T3 is prescription only in France too.

I don’t have primary hypothyroidism, mine is secondary due to Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS)/M.E. I was diagnosed by a well known private UK doctor in the field of CFS in 2010. My FT4 and FT3 were just within ‘normal’ range but the doctor suggested a trial of thyroid meds to help improve my standard of living. I couldn’t tolerate T4 in either levo or NDT and had to swap to pure T3 to feel any benefit.
My last thyroid function results are dated 24/04/17 after I’d trialled a period without thyroid medication for around 9 months and felt pretty rotten.
My results as at 24/04/17 are as follows:
TSH 2.48 (2.7 - 4.2)
FT4 14.3 (12.0 - 22.0)
FT3 3.2 (3.1 - 6.8)
It’s a shame about the Grossman Cynomel. I’ve always used that brand and it’s always suited me.

If you have a private prescription for liothyronine 20mcg (it has to be 20mcg not 25mcg), then BENNEWITZ pharmacy in Germany is very easy to deal with online. Your doctor/ endo can prescribe, say 5mcg three times a day further down the prescription but it should state 20mcg tablets somewhere on it eg ‘liothyronine 20mcg x100 tablets’
You order online and pay then they email you telling you where to send your prescription to. Once they have received it, they post the T3 out. However, it is unlikely that they will accept prescriptions from doctors in the UK after Brexit as their website already states that the prescription must come from a doctor inside the EU. If you’re quick, you could get 200 tablets before then if you can find a private endo to write you a prescription for that number. The usual amount prescribed is more like 100 tablets but an understanding endo might help if you explain about Brexit. The very best of luck with your search.

My doctor is usually pretty understanding and does her best to help as far as possible. This will be a new request so only time will tell.
I currently take 43.75mcg of T3 per day so 100 tablets will only last me 45 days. I’ll have to try for at least 200 to start with.
I hadn’t considered the Brexit situation. Do you know what contingency plans UK patients have in place to overcome this obstacle? There seems to be one hurdle after another.

I may be cynical but I very much doubt that there are any contingency plans in place at all to allow UK doctors’ prescriptions to be recognised by German pharmacies once we have left the EU. I strongly suspect that the German source of T3 will simply dry up leaving even more patients who need T3 without the means of obtaining it. Desperately sad state of affairs. The only solace I can offer is that l believe that ThyroidUK are working hard behind the scenes to try to help the situation in the UK. Good luck.
