Hi, I have recently been told by my Dr that I have hypothyroidism kind of by change had a routine blood test and it can back with this! I was a little shocked by what he was telling me so not much of it went in to which I didn’t ask any questions. They have prescribed me 25mg once a day of Levothyroxine and I have to go back in February to have my bloods redone. From what I have read so far a lot of things that I have been feeling are now making sense. I have noticed over the last few months my hair has become very thin, once the meds kick in will my hair grow back? I also feel sleepy most of the time and foggy and find it difficult sometimes to co ordinate will this start to lift as well?
I think I’m gonna start to write my questions down so when I go back to the Dr’a I can ask them all! Hopefully he’ll have the time to go through it all with me!!
Thanks 🙂

Always remember to post your ranges as they differ from lab to lab so it's probably easier to check if FT3 and FT4 are in the top third of your ranges and mostcif us few better with a TSH of around 1 or even lower.
25 mcg may be too high or too low which is why they will re-test. A lot of people will tell you it's a low dose but not everyone needs large amounts. Regards your complaints, sounds like thyroid symptoms and so will start to resolve as you medicate but it can take time. Good luck 😀
Yes. If it’s the right dose you will start to feel better after about 2-3 weeks. That is the lowest dose so you such just feel better over time but if not you may need a higher dose
