Welcome to the community! Sorry to hear of your problems. There is a lot of excellent support here.
I am very sorry you have a problem with your thyroid gland and also heart. I wonder what came first i.e. hypothyroidism or heart problems? I will state I'm not medically qualified and have hypothyroidism.
Welcome to our forum and on your Profile you should add some of your history, i.e. when diagnosed with what etc so that on further posts, we can look at your Profile and don't need to ask repeat questions.
Did you develop a heart problem, before or after being diagnosed with hashimoto's because the following is an excerpt:-
"Sarcoidosis may be associated with ATD at some time of its evolution, either as hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism. Usually, ATD does not develop during the period of activity of sarcoidosis. We suggest considering personal and family past history of thyroid disease before administering potassium iodide for erythema nodosum in patients with sarcoidosis, as it could trigger hyperthyroidism, especially in patients with iodine deficiency.
Some hints:-
When blood tests for hypo is due, it should always be at the very earliest, fasting (you can drink water) and allow a gap of 24 hours between last dose of hormones (levo?) and the test and take it afterwards.
Always get a print-out of your results, with the ranges. Ranges are very important for members to comment upon them. Labs differ and so do their ranges.
This helps keep the TSH at its highest as it drops throughout the day and may mean you get an increase or not.
Ask GP to test B12, Vit D, iron, ferritin and folate.
The aim of thyroid hormone replacement is to have a TSH of around 1, a Free T4 and Free T3 in the upper part of the ranges (the latter two are rarely tested). Going gluten-free can help reduce the antibodies as it is they that attack the thyroid gland and wax and wane.
