Ongoing thyroid issues

Hi everyone , sorry not been here as of late but have been very unwell and had a lot going on

Tuesday post is an update on what has been happening, it is quite lengthy, so i apologise in advance , so , here goes .....

After my blood tests which I posted on here and conversed with greygoose about ,

I went back to the doctors and explained what greygoose had suggested , he said my blood results were fine , he then hummed and r'd a lot , but then decided he was referring me to a rheumatologist and an endocrinologist

I am on the waiting list to see an endo so don't know when that's going to be ... i did see a rheumatologist as my feet legs and hands keep swelling up and feeling like they are on fire , also my neck nodules and now swelling was really playing up ( I will attach photos for you all to see ) it was a total waste of time , he wasn't interested as i , at the time , was not in a flared up state , when I mentioned about my neck , his exact words were " that's nothing to do with me " so I showed him some of the photos I had taken , again wasn't interested , just said you'll have to phone in and make a new appointment when your flared up . So , instead of being there most of the morning , which I was expecting because that was what the appointment letter said , I was there just 15 mins , no test , nothing ... not even a simple blood test , he did not even enquire as to what medication I was taking

As you can imagine, this is all getting me down so much now , the fatigue , brain fog , hair breaking off , eyes always very sore and red , feeling like body on fire , the swelling in neck is now worrying me so much now , can't sleep , even losing appetite, which belive me is not like me , I love my food .

Also in a lot of pain with the spinal stenosis I'm even having to get my partner to write this , as the brain fog , soreness and eyes being so sore leaves me unable to do it

Can anyone please , please give me any advice

How long has your neck been swollen like that? Has it happened before? I would go to emergency with that as it could be serious needing immediate attention.

Hi kalicocat , have been having problems with nodules on left side of neck for around 5 months now , in the last 6 weeks they've been getting worse and goes up behind my ear, it also looks bruised at times , is very sore and sometimes I feel like there's something stuck in my throat . Greygoose said that my blood test results were not good , the T3 , B12 etc were too low . I don't know how much longer can go on being exhausted , sore etc etc , feel like I'm not getting anywhere fast with docs and specialists not listening or giving me the right treatments . I think i will take your advice and take myself to A&E .

Hi Sweetpea my neck has been like that for 10yrs it’s been scanned and I was told it’s fat and nothing to do with thyroid and yet when my antibodies rise my neck comes up like yours and gives me a choking feeling doc ignores me.

Hi Benadrove5 , thank you for getting back to me , I am so sorry to hear you've been suffering with this for over 10 years, the docs ( as most of us have realised on here ) don't have a blooming clue , and are deaf and ignorant . They just don't listen to us . Hope you manage to find a way to get better soon

Hi Kalicocat i have been having problems with nodules on left side of my neck for about 5 months now, in the last 6 weeks keeps getting bigger and goes up behind my ear, it also looks bruised at times, is sore and feels like something stuck in my throat. Greygoose said a few of my blood tests were low & i feel exusted all the time, will probably take your advice and go to A&E. Thanks for your reply
