I've been struggling for 20 years with my thyroid. I don't seem to be able to tolerate thyroxine so my doc took me off it completely 2 years ago.
After a very unhappy year of terrible weight gain (especially in stomach area), a sore stomach down left had side (I've been told I have diverticulitis) and generally feeling terrible, I revisited doc in May, who said my blood results were normal but put me on 25mcg for a trial.
Three months on, it's not improved matters at all and I'm still experiencing weight gain, brain fog, lack of appetite, sore stomach and tiredness to name a few.
I decided to move to 50mgc last week as the doc was happy with the results and not willing to look at symptoms, but i'm feeling worse (palpitations, sweating, even more weight gain).
Would be interested to see what you guys thing of my results.... these are from 3 months of 25mcg of thyroxine daily (I was originally on 150mcg three years ago).
TSH 4.41 (0.55-4,78)
Ft4 14 (10-25)
Thanks in advance,

In my opinion an attribute greatly over valued by doctors. If those were my results I’d be feeling seriously poorly and would have very low fT3. But you may be completely different to me... good luck x
There are other things available apart from thyroxine. Plus you may have other things going on apart from thyroid ...chronic fatigue syndrome? Hashimotos? Food intolerances? Any number of things .
If you can afford an integrative or functional doc then get one of those.
Preferably get ft3 ft4 tsh tpoab tgab and reverse t3 tested at the same time.
It can seem quite complex so just do your best to get enough sleep , manage stress as much as possible and chip away at getting a helpful doctor and tests.
Psychological support from a health psychologist or psychotherapist wouldn't go amiss because these situations can be challenging to navigate.
