Hi everyone, I had a lab test in September and the doctor only tested my tsh and my T4.

My results are tsh 1’100 ui/ml 0’4-4,5

T4free 1,27 ng/dL 0,85-1.80

I am taking 75 mcg, but i am feeling very tired all the time, sad and depressed, no mood, my left arm and hand is not working properly, my left eye the same, I am having like strabism sometimes, so strange due to I have never had strabism in my life.

So I am going to do an eye test next week and I will re test privately my t3 and my vitamins.

Something is not ok, I had a baby one year ago, and I need to be fine to take care of him.

I feel I just want to die, is so hard to write this but I am loosing all my hopes to be healthy again.. This battle is very hard for me, so many years feeling sick and tired.

Sorry for my no hopes words but it has been very hard for my this last year.

Thanks for your kind help

Your FT4 is only 44% through it's range. The aim of a treated hypo patient generally is for TSH to be 1 or below or wherever it needs to be for FT4 and FT3 to be in the upper part of their respective reference ranges when on Levo if that is where you feel well. 75mcg is a very small dose and you need an increase in your Levo, 25mcg now, retest in 6-8 weeks to see where your levels lie then.

You need to test FT4 and FT3 at the same time. Don't test FT3 in isolation. By testing both together you will see if your T4 to T3 conversion is good enough. If your FT3 is low and FT4 high, that shows poor conversion. FT3 and FT4 should be in balance.

SeasideSusie many thanks for your kind reply, I would like to try some t3, my question is how should I do it? Retest first both t4 and t3 and then post again? Many thanks!

You need to test FT4 and FT3 at the same time to see whether you need T3. Post the results/ranges for members to comment.

Many thanks for your kind help, so I usually take my levo at night, so I will take the T3 on waking and then if I will need more on the afternoon, but I will do the tests first.

Many thanks!
