Possibly but not necessarily - there are causes other than an issue with the parathyroid glands. Some illness can raise blood levels of vitamin D, which stimulates the digestive tract to absorb more calcium; there's an albeit rare genetic disorder that causes an increase in calcium in the blood because of faulty calcium receptors; spending a lot of time sitting or lying down due to illness say, can over time, cause bones that don't bear weight to release calcium into the blood; severe dehydration is a common cause of mild or transient hypercalcemia; certain drugs such as lithium, might increase the release of parathyroid hormone; excessive amounts of calcium or vitamin D supplements over time can raise calcium levels .... What does your Dr say about your results?
