Has anyone switched from Armour to Efra? Is it a straight switch did you have any side effect or did you find one better than the other?

Yes, you can do a straight switchover from one to another.

Members will respond too but keep in mind that nearly all of us have different responses to thyroid hormones whether it is NDTs or levothyroxine.

Yes I made that switch when Armour reformulated some years ago. However, I never do a straight switch, I always add in the new brand slowly just in case I react to it and with plenty of the old brand left. I do it by substituting half a grain of the new brand for a couple of days, then one grain for a couple of days, etc.. That way if there is a problem then I still have enough of the original brand to tide me over until I can get more. At the time I preferred ERFA to the new formulation of Armour. Since then ERFA altered in some way and I went on to a different brand.
