Hi guys has anyone sourced t3 on here at all ? I’m under active with graves I think from my medi checks tests shows possibly graves, can’t get t3 from doctors etc but I’ve heard of people being able to get it and changes their lives because although bloods show thyroid level ok I still have all symptoms and I’m fed up of being so exhausted every single day and no doctors helping thanks in advance x

Are you sure you don't mean over-active from Graves, or under-active from Hashimoto's? If you post your medichecks tests, results and ranges here, members can advise you more accurately.

Are you talking about the Medichecks results in this post

healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...

Those results don't show Graves at all, they show Hashimoto's.

To check for Graves you need different antibodies tested - TRAbs and TSI. And Graves is overactive, your results are far from that.

Also, as mentioned in replies to your other post, your conversion is good. You need more Levo, not T3.

Reread the replies on that thread.

Have you done anything about your very low Active B12, Folate and Ferritin.

And what about your Vit D level, you didn't answer that question.

Your problem lies with your nutrients not being optimal so your thyroid hormone can't work properly, plus you are undermedicated to have FT4 39% through range and FT3 46% through range. The aim of a treated hypo patient generally is for TSH to be 1 or lower with FT4 and FT3 in the upper part of their ranges if that is where you feel well. Your conversion is excellent with a higher % for FT3 than FT4 so you don't need T3.

One of the pages when I printed them out said about my antibodies showing possible Graves’ disease :s but my doctor got angry when I took them to him and said I don’t need my thyroxine higher at all 😞 but I know I don’t feel good 90 percent of my life and I’ve had enough of it struggling with exhaustion it’s got to stop so I have to try doing it myself as one consultant I saw said I had nothing wrong with my thyroid and shouldn’t even be on any medication at which time I was taking 150 and if I didn’t need it that would have made me sick so I’m

Pretty stuck with professional help here. X

Let's have a look at those comments about Graves, add the page as a photo to your opening post here by editing it. Or are you talking about the one you posted before here

healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...

Graves is overactive thyroid and with FT4 currently 39% through range you can't possibly be. Your FT4 would be over range and your TSH would be suppressed originally, before you were ever diagnosed hypothyroid and prescribed Levo.

If you didn't have TRAbs and TSI antibodies tested, Graves can't be confirmed.

And what about your nutrient levels? You won't improve until you optimise those.

Also my doctor says my b12 is normal ? But had prescribed me some folate x

In that other thread it was suggested you check for signs of B12 deficiency.

Greygoose mentioned more than once that you be tested for pernicious anaemia.

It was also mentioned that folic acid shouldn't be started before further testing.

Vitamin d said normal I think on the tests but I’m taking 5000 Ipu per day have been for about a year x

When supplementing Vit D, retesting should be done once or twice a year to check level is not too high as excess Vit D gets stored and can reach toxicity level.

I would retest to see what your level is now.

Are you taking D3's important cofactors magnesium and Vit K2-mk7?

I don't know without looking on their website, but whatever you do don't buy H&B own brand, get a decent brand, preferably one that has a good oil as one of the ingredients (eg extra virgin olive oil) as it is fat soluble and needs fat to be absorbed.

You were given information and links about Hashi's. Are you now gluten free and supplementing with selenium?

Leab8 in reply to SeasideSusie

Trying to do gluten free struggling as I do forget a lot and there’s so much you don’t think would have gluten in so lots to learn and hard to get used to but I’m on it, and I need to get selenium how much should I start on ? X

SeasideSusieRemembering in reply to Leab8

For Hashi's patients it's recommend to take 200mcg selenium l-selenomethionine daily. Some people like to test selenium level first.

Thank you I’ll start with that and see how I go I really appreciate your help and advice
