Are you in the UK?
UK doctors don't prescribe NDT.
Not everyone does well on NDT, same as not everyone does well on Levo.
I take T3 only during summer months. I find it easy to dose as there’s no conversion lag time.
Not everybody can convert T4 into T3. And, those of us with no thyroid don't have an T4, anyway. What have you got against T3 only?
Not sure what point you’re trying to make. When you take T3 only your thyroid tends to stop making T4, so you wouldn’t have anything to convert into T3.
UK doctors don’t prescribe NDT and many U.K. doctors have very little idea about how to optimally treat thyroid problems.
I feel whatever you take it's not an easy fix. You need to understand what you are taking and how it can affect you. You also need to be familiar with what can go wrong and why.
I would always advise anyone to start with Levo as it's easier to do and it's the only medication that can show you whether you have a conversion problem.
Sorry, what's your point here? Most people only T3 only, which I'm assuming is what you mean, if they can't convert T4 to T3 well, so your "because" clause makes no sense, especially when considered with the rest of your post.
Why do you need to be cautious when taking T3?
