I have a question . I think I added way too much t3 even though Iam on a small amount 1/4mdt +7.5 t3 at 6am and 1/4ndt+5mcg afternoon . I have temp which is 36.9-37.00 at times 37.1 I feel so warm at times jittery tired n dizzy bit also hungry a lot .could it mean Iam over medicating on t3?

When did you start taking T3?

Did you start with 1/4 of a tablet - 5mcg and have you increased gradually and slowly - 5mcg at a time?

Have you retested since starting T3?

You could be overmedicated.

You could do one of 2 things. Retest to include TSH, FT4 and FT3 - which you mentioned just over a week ago that you had a test waiting to be done, or cut back on your T3 and see how you feel in a few weeks.

I did my last bloods on 14 sept tsh was 3.83 ,t4 -13,t3-4 . I know it looks pretty low all of them. But I was just on 1/4 and 1/4 ndt . I kept going with ndt and added t3 on 21st sept and started really slow from 21.09 -25.09 started with 2.5mcg to my morning ndt than from 26.09 -28.09 added 1.5 mcg t3 to my afternoon dose than from 29.09 -07.10 I was on1/4ndt 3.5 t3 and afternoon 1/4 ndt and 1.5mcg t3. Than from 08.10 -11.10 my dose was 1/4ndt 5mcg t3 morning and 1/4 ndt t3 2.5mcg than from 12.10-17.10 1/4ndt 5mcg t3 morning and 1/4ndt 5mcg t3 afternoon .the last adjustment I did on 18.10 1/4 ndt t3 7.5mcg and afternoon 1/4ndt and t3 5mcg . Than by adding this I noticed my temp going to 37 and feeling so so hot even now dizzy bit hyper actuons movements very fast a bit raised heart beat and hard to breath at times could it be over dose? Iam just a little person anyway. I did bloods on 03.10 but waiting for results (takes so long ) , than I did rt3 panel from medicheks on 15.10.18 another week to wait for results . Could u comment on these should I back off a bit of t3 cause sometimes by temp goes to 37.1

Ari3,

You sound over medicated.

Why are you adding T3 when you are already medicating NDT ?

The NDT contains both T4 & T3. You would be better raising your levels with an increase in NDT as a quarter grain morning & evening is a tiny dose.

Being over medicated feels horrid. Hope you feel better soon.

21.09 -25.09 added 2.5mcg to my morning ndt - Total 2.5mcg T3 for 4 days

26.09 -28.09 added 1.5 mcg t3 to my afternoon dose - Total 4mcg T3 for 2 days

29.09 -07.10 on1/4ndt 3.5 t3 and afternoon 1/4 ndt and 1.5mcg t3. - Total 5mcg T3 for 8 days

08.10 -11.10 on 1/4ndt 5mcg t3 morning and 1/4 ndt t3 2.5mcg afternoon - Total 7.5mcg T3 for 3 days

12.10-17.10 on 1/4ndt 5mcg t3 morning and 1/4ndt 5mcg t3 afternoon - Total 10mcg T3 for 5 days

18.10 on 1/4 ndt t3 7.5mcg and afternoon 1/4ndt and t3 5mcg - Total 12.5mcg T3

Than by adding this I noticed my temp going to 37 and feeling so so hot even now dizzy bit hyper actuons movements very fast a bit raised heart beat and hard to breath at times could it be over dose?

I have seen you say that you are very sensitive to thyroid meds, in which case why have you increased your dose so quickly. I know your increases are very small, but you need to give your body time to adjust to increases, and 2, 3, 4, 5 or 8 days days isn't enough, 2 weeks between dose increase for T3 is more like it, maybe even longer for someone so sensitive.

Did you feel OK at any time when adding T3? If so then I would go back to that dose and stick to it for a few weeks.

Not what you're looking for?
