Do you have a diagnosis? Are you on any thyroid meds?
Do you have lab reference ranges as well as results? If so please can you post results like this as we needs results along with their ranges to interpret them
Example only
TSH: 2.5 (0.2-4.2)
FT4: 15 (12-22)
TPO antibodies: 100 (<34)
i have Hypothyroid , Fibromyalgia . Lupus blood , L kidney cancer 3 yrs post op - now have "leisions" on each adrenal gland - re the results thats all i got on a print out
What dose of Levothyroxine are you on and how long have you been on it?
If your recent T4 / FreeT4 results have been endorsed "Low " then that usually means you are under medicated and would be given an increase in dose (another 25mcg?) Then retested in several weeks. But I'm not sure - with other things you have such as Adrenal issues.
It would be helpful if you could obtain some more details of your blood tests results.
Raised TPO (Thyroid Peroxidase Abs) indicates Autoimmune Thyroiditis (Hashimoto's ) which causes Hypothyroidism - but you haven't given range. " Borderline" isn't a helpful comment. They are either within range or raised. So looks like yours are raised. Mine were about 300 I think.
Have you ever asked for tests to check levels of Vitamin D, B12 Folate or Ferritin?
ps
You could write to the hospital for copies of all your records
thank you yes i was always on 100 levo , then the GP startes reducing 75 one day 50 the next --- totally messed me up - than put on 75 now incerased to 100 So i have never been told if its primary / Hashimoto or anything just Hyopthyroid since 39yrs old - now 55 &( yes iv taken Folic acid Vit D in the past )
Oh & my B12 is double what it should be for 4 yrs now & not on any suppliments & no one seems worried
B12 can be high because other B vitamins are too low
You need thyroid and vitamin testing after 6-8 weeks minimum on CONSTANT unchanging dose of Levothyroxine
For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4, FT3 plus TPO and TG thyroid antibodies and also very important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12
Low vitamin levels are extremely common and can affect Thyroid
ask GP for vitamin and antibodies testing
Private tests are available. Thousands on here forced to do this as NHS often refuses to test FT3 or antibodies or vitamins

Medichecks Thyroid plus ultra vitamin or Blue Horizon Thyroid plus eleven are the most popular choice. DIY finger prick test or option to pay extra for private blood draw. Both companies often have money off offers.
All thyroid tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and fasting. When on Levothyroxine, take last dose 24 hours prior to test, and take next dose straight after test. This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, GP will be unaware)
If antibodies are high this is Hashimoto's, (also known by medics here in UK more commonly as autoimmune thyroid disease).
About 90% of all hypothyroidism in Uk is due to Hashimoto's. Low vitamins are especially common with Hashimoto's. Food intolerances are very common too, especially gluten. So it's important to get TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested at least once .

How far back "in the past"?
I think I would ask for up to date bloods tests - Vitamin D especially & others. See if you need prescribed supplements. Are you taking Vitamin D daily maintenance dose now?
WOW you guys are great with your replys -- tbh im on so many other meds i havnt bothered for a year or so -those bloods ere done 2 weeks ago on75
So you're not taking Vitamin D supplements now?
Also, as you are on so many other meds - do you know that your Levothyroxine needs to be taken on its own with water only & on an empty stomach & one hour before food? No other meds at same time . Vitamin D at least 4 hours later.
I would definitely be asking GP or Consultant to do the nutrients blood tests : Vit D , B12, B9 (Folate) & Ferritin.
With your history and now lesions on Adrenal glands - I would be asking GP for an urgent referal to an Endocrinologist. I would write to the Endocrinologist and ask for all the blood tests to be done a week before appointment. And I'd mention all symptoms since Levothyroxine dose reduced and changed so much. I find it helps to write a list of symptoms.
Do you check your temperature? Do this first thing each morning and make a note if it's low. (Remember to add one if taking underarm, if under tongue then as read). Keep a record of dates it's low (under 36.5 especially if under 36) and add to list of symptoms.
will do - problem is all my symptoms run into each other - always hot & tbh i had no symptoms what so ever for the kidney cancer - despite it being the size of a tennis ball - the fibromyalgia makes me feel pretty bloody awful all the time , But i will write down all the notes you have ,so swiftly given me & present it to my GP .Finally being refered to a rheumatologist but when i suggested an endocrinologist on many occasions - not necessary aparrently & as you can see im up & down all night - so exhausted xxx
All the best with GP. Is there a different one at the practice you could see - difficult these days.
Adrenal GLANDS
Thyroid GLAND -
and GP thinks Endocrinologist referal not necessary ??
Such is the sorry state of the NHS.
Hopefully the Endocrinologist would prescribe correct dose until stable and monitor properly. I think you should be under Endocrinologist permanently. I am now, but had to fight my way back after discharge on third appointment back in 2012.
God Bless
