Have you always had Teva?
Are you lactose intolerant? It’s the only lactose free tablet in Uk
Many, many people do not get on at all well with Teva
If not lactose intolerant you may do better on different brand
Your high antibodies confirm you have autoimmune thyroid disease also called Hashimoto’s
Did you know that previously?
No idea why I am onTeva, I drink milk, eat dairy products so am def not lactose intolerant and have not been told I have Hashimoto’s. Is treatment different?
I did dream last night which I have just realised, not done that in a while (I think I’ve read lack of dreams is a side affect of thyroid issues).
Ask GP for new prescription and physically pick prescription up, take to pharmacy and ask for different brand
Activis, Wockhart, Mercury Pharma are all popular options

Most medics ignore the autoimmune aspect of Hashimoto's as there's no medical treatment
About 80-90% of all primary hypothyroidism in Uk is due to Hashimoto's
Hashimoto's often affects the gut and leads to low stomach acid and then low vitamin levels . Low vitamin levels affect Thyroid hormone working
Vitamins often need testing regularly and regularly supplementing as direct result
Poor gut function can lead leaky gut (literally holes in gut wall) this can cause food intolerances. Most common by far is gluten. Dairy is second most common
According to Izabella Wentz the Thyroid Pharmacist approx 5% with Hashimoto's are coeliac, but over 80% find gluten free diet helps, sometimes significantly. Either due to direct gluten intolerance (no test available) or due to leaky gut and gluten causing molecular mimicry (see Amy Myers link)
Changing to a strictly gluten free diet may help reduce symptoms, help gut heal and slowly lower TPO antibodies
Ideally ask GP for coeliac blood test first, just to rule it out

If you find no noticeable difference on strictly gluten free diet after 3-6 months, ideally retest antibodies (via private blood test most likely) and reintroduce gluten. See if symptoms get worse
But don't be surprised that GP never mentions gut, gluten or low vitamins. Hashimoto's gut connection is very poorly understood
Teva works well for me......recent blood tests show my t3 higher than ever before so maybe I convert Teva better........stops me sleeping all day
