Thyroidectomy tomorrow.

Hi everybody so after waiting nearly three years I am getting my thyroidectomy tomorrow, wish me luck because I'm so nervous.

Good luck! You will be fine! I had a TT in January. I was so scared beforehand but it’s not so bad. It took me about 3 weeks to recover from the op, I felt really drained but the pain was not too bad. Let us know how you get on and if you’ve got any questions before or after I would be happy to help xxx

Hi I had mine removed in Oct 2015 it was growing downwards and had my trachea repaired as this had moved too. It was fine and I didn't have to take any painkillers either. It was difficult swallowing large hard food but that's all.

Good luck wish you all the best. Its two years since I went through it and I was worried but it wasn't painful and I recovered within 3 weeks. Make sure you look after yourself, take care Jane
