Thyroid s is a Thai NDT. NDT natural desiccated thyroid is the original medication used to treat hypothyroidism. Bovine or porcine thyroids are dried, processed and turned into pills. They contain all the thyroid hormones but the ratios of t3 and t4 are different in cows and pigs to humans. Ndt is no longer licences for use in the uk although some of the American (Armour, nature Thyroid etc) or Canadian (Effra) versions can be prescribed on a named patient basis.
