Fluctuating tyroide

Hi all. I got fed up with seeing the same Dr because he had no idea why my thyroid was fluctuating. So went to see a different gp. My levels go between 9.75. 8. 5 etc. The new gp says we need to see levels of 1o continuously before we put you on tyroxine. And basically told me there was nothing wrong with my thyroid. Have no idea what to do now

Stupid man! You were actually hypo at 3! The NHS states your TSH should be 10 before diagnosis, but the GP is allowed to use his intelligence - if he has any - and a TSH of 9.75 is so close.

I don't think anywhere does it say that your TSH has to be continuously at 10 before treatment, just continuously well over-range for two tests. This man is an ignorant sadist, can't you see someone else? You are so obviously hypo. Does he even test your FT4?

Do you always get your labs done early in the morning and fasting? That's the way to get the highest TSH.

Not what you're looking for?
