Feeling unwell at present not sure if they are in range or to ask for bloods checked again I am currently not on medication for 18 months thanks

Which antibodies are those?

Do you really have Grave's or do you have Hashi's? That antibody result looks like Hashi's. The sad fact is, doctors don't seem to know the difference.

In any case, those labs are hypo, not hyper. And the fact that you're now hypo, without any medication, would seem to support the Hashi's theory.

Hi yeh acording to encrologist in the beginning lost a lot of weight and bloods showed overactive and have done several times since prescribed Carbizamole for a year or more then levels come into range but my last bloods I noticed antibodies had gone fron 0.9 to over 150 x

No, just losing weight and having 'over-active' bloods is not a diagnosis of Grave's. The Grave's antibodies need testing - TRAB or TSI.

It looks to me like you have Hashi's. With Hashi's you can have periods when bloods indicate 'over-active' and you lose weight, but it's not the same as Grave's and the treatment is not the same.

But, as I said, many, many doctors do not know the difference. And, if he has been treating you with Carbi for Grave's without testing the antibodies, he has been negligent.

Grave's antibodies do not go from 0.9 to 150, as far as I know. I'm pretty certain they are Hashi's antibodies. But they must have a name on your blood test report? What are they called?

Well, it might be a good idea to find out. :)

Yes you should find out. The antibodies you were previously tested for were TBII which is unusual. Don’t know much about them but they don’t appear to be able to give a definitive diagnosis of Graves or hashis. Seem to be seen in both?

You need TSI or TRAB to confirm Graves.

High thyroid hormones can be caused by a number of things so the cause does need to be confirmed.

You doctor should give you a copy of your results. They are yours by right. Atcinectime we could be asked to pay for the paper and ink but I understand that is no longer the case. If they don't want to do that but offer to tell you so that you can right it down so no but I can take a photo of then, assuming you have one, so that you know exactly what is one there. When I bit nervous about asking we may not right things down correctly orcin my case not hear correctly!
