I have been on Synthroid for a long time but now in my 60s i am feeling air hunger, weak malaise and my tsh, t3 and free t3 are in the normal range except tsh and t3 are a little high but in range. Has anyone else felt air hunger etc with Hashimoto’s? Also have CFS, Fibromyalgia and Epstein Barr. Thank you

Can you just have a look at your posting? I'm wondering it one of your FT3 comments should be referring to an FT4 result.
Sorry you are not feeling well. Have other causes of air hunger been ruled out? Many things such as heart conditions, lung conditions, etc could cause that yucky feeling.
Yes thank you have had the whole gamut of tests and thank Gid nothing else except my Ferrin was a bit low.
Having low ferritin can cause exhaustion and air hunger. But without results and reference ranges nobody can suggest anything.
Saying that everything is in the normal range or is fine is not informative.
For example, someone could have a ferritin result of 15 with a reference range of 13 - 150 and feel exhausted. They would feel quite different with a ferritin result of 148 with a reference range of 13 - 150. But both results are within the reference range and would be classified as "normal". So it is vital to actually specify what your results are and say what the reference range is.
Ferritin is actually a measure of your iron stores. It is important to know the level of your serum iron and your transferrin saturation as well as your ferritin to get a full picture of what's going on with your iron. You might benefit from supplementing iron - but you can't tell from just a ferritin result.
When untreated, I had terrible air hunger Sealsharp. In planes, cars, at home sometimes and at work. I am on T3 now and this is no-longer a problem. I would add, however, that being grain and dairy free makes a big difference too.
Thank you all for your feedback.
