If you Google IBS NHS you will find the NHS website with details of the condition.

As you are on this forum I guess that you have a thyroid condition. IBS can be caused by thyroid problems so getting proper treatment for your thyroid may fix the IBS.

Hey, Gerald! I was terrified of a colonoscopy and when I say terrified I mean it 100% but my health was and still is really bad so I had to go and it wasn't as I expected it to be!! It was quite ok, they sedated me which I had to call for with one day in advance as they don't usually do that. I know exactly what you are feeling but man up and get it over with ! I promise you its not as bad as It seems or as it is in your head. I was there for the same reason, just been diagnosed with ibs. As soon as you get it done as soon you ll know whats wrong with you , however please know that they cannot diagnose you with ibs from a colonoscopy. There isn't really a test that can tell you whether you have it or not but just check out your symptoms. Also, its good to have a colonoscopy because there might be something else wrong with your stomach and its not its related!
