I recently found a goiter on my left thyroid measuring at 4.2 cam. When they did the biopsy it came back as “inconclusive” with suspicion of follicular neoplasm cells. I am so scared and confused and I see my endo tomorrow for her to look more closely at the results. Does anyone know what this means or has experienced something similar? Do you think they will suggest a thyroidectomy?

Thyroid disease, including thyroid cancer, is generally very treatable so please try not to worry too much until you have all the facts and a full picture. I Expect they will want to do further tests and I expect you will want clarity and conclusive results before making any decisions about treatment.
Thyroid disease usually progresses slowly so you've got time to understand and ask questions and decide what course of treatment is right for you.

By the way, lots of us have had thyroidectomy. Ask the doctor to check vitamin D levels too, very important for recovery from treatment for thyroid disease.
