I'm afraid we need the ranges for those labs. They vary from lab to lab, so essential that you add them.

May I as why you're not on any 'meds' with a TSH that high? A gluten-free diet is not going to bring it down, nor raise your FT4/3.

Being off thyroid hormone replacement for three months is going to make you very ill. The man is an idiot.

sam8569 in reply togreygoose

Don't know may be he want's my Tsh above 10

Last time when I was tested my cholesterol was well below the range it was 154 where as high is 200 something

Below range? Or below the top of the range? If it is below range, you should maybe have your liver checked.

I don't think he knows what he's doing, either. He's just messing you about the way endos always seem to mess people about for their own amusement. How do you feel? If you feel bad, insist they put you back on levo. This is intolerable behaviour on the endo's part!

so far I am feeling good but I will back on Levo after 15 days

OK But, I would strongly advise you not to encourage this moron by consenting to any other crazy experiments he might be planning to do on you! You are not a guinea pig!

Hmm I will let him know that .I was thinking of trying Thiroyd from Thailand but don't have much info regarding the source

You would have to write a new post, asking people to PM you with their trusted sources. I'm afraid I can't help you with that. :)

Your TSH is too high. Why are you not on Levothyroxine?

Do you have the ranges for your blood test results? Your FT4 looks low - was there any comment on results?

Have you been told that you have Hashimoto's Autoimmune Thyroiditis & Hypothyroidism?

Have you also got the range for Vitamin D result and comments? Were you told that you have Vitamin D insufficiency or deficiency? Were you given a prescription for colecalciferol (vitamin D3) ?

I would see the doctor as soon as possible about these results. Make a list of your symptoms and a list of questions to take with you.

You should also ask for the following blood tests:

B12, Folate and Ferritin.

You could ask when you last had Calcium tested and a Full Blood Count if you wish.

Edit:

ps

I have just seen the 2 other replies. When I replied these weren't showing - don't know why. Showed 0 replies.

Always give full information when posting eg you have been on a Thyroid med. So wrong impression given.

It would also be helpful to give dose of med and what actual med. This is important as Levothyroxine has to be started on a low dose and gradually increased. Starting on the full dose can be harmful, that's why it is introduced slowly and increased gradually over several weeks/months.

It would be helpful if you gave all tests results with dates, ranges and dose of meds at time.

It's also helpful to have Adrenals tested first - before starting on Levothyroxine. Any possible Adrenal issue needs to be resolved before staring Levo. Have a look through your Levothyroxine leaflet.

You still haven't mentioned whether or not you were prescribed Vitamin D supplements.

Can't understand how taking 25mcg of Levothyroxine daily for one month can be blamed for your symptoms.

You could ask your GP to do the other blood tests (B12, Folate and Ferritin ) but you must get your Vitamin D levels sorted. Ask for a prescription for colecalciferol and retesting in 3 to 6 months.

You may have other deficiencies.

Mary can you please let me know how to test for Adernal as here in India they don't test for adernals

Mary-intussuception profile image
Mary-intussuception in reply tosam8569

So sorry Sam :

firstly; for late reply. I only just got notification of reply but it says you posted 17 hours ago!

second; I'm afraid I don't really know, other than maybe private testing which I have no experience of.

I can only tell you of my experience: When I first saw the Endocrinologist he arranged for me to have a -

Short Synacthen Test

to check my adrenals first, before I started my Levothyroxine. My Adrenals were OK so he phoned me when he got the results and told me I could start my Levothyroxine, I had been given 50mcg dose. That was later increased to 75mcg after the first follow-up Thyroid tests.

I'm sorry I can't be of anymore help, I not expert just a patient , still learning!

May I suggest you write a new post to ask this? You could start with something like -

"Further to my post a day ago, can anyone tell me how to arrange to have Adrenals tested? I am in India. "

You could then add all your test results with dates and numbers plus normal ranges. And then add a list of all your symptoms and also what medications and supplements you are now on - and were on previously.

Ask for advice on what tests you need.

This way, more people will see your new post and someone with more experience than I may answer and be able to help.

I hope so.

You could also take a list of symptoms into your doctor and ask if he / she thinks you should have Adrenals tested. Also ask why they don't do the tests.
