I take t3 SR in morning with my Ndt. Some days it seems to slow me down in a good way; lessen anxiety and increase focus but other days it makes me jittery and more anxious. Is this common? Has anyone had this experience?

Hi Margiebess, hope you don’t mind me asking, but how do you know that it is the T3 causing both sets of symptoms?
Slow release T3 is not the best, because you can never guarantee how much you are absorbing. Sounds like some days you absorb more than others.
Various foods and supplements can interfere with the absorption of thyroid hormones (T3, T4 or NDT) medication. It is therefore better to take them away from food. The problem with slow release T3 is that it remains in the digestive system for a long time and is therefore likely to come into contact with food.
I just started taking SR T3 as well and think I should switch to regular T3. I’ve been having shortness of breath and coughing a lot.
