They really should make their mind up if it increases antibodies - although I can't see how - or decreases T3. And, if it increases antibodies, the big question is : do antibodies cause symptoms. If it decreases T3, just take a bit more. This looks like th work of someone out to cause trouble...

That's good to hear. :)

Hmmm, I agree the new Nature-Throid is different and I'll be getting blood tests done in another week to see what's going on. I've already increased from 2.75 grains to 3.5 grains but I've been thinking it's a T3 issue as well, because the symptoms I'm getting are similar to the ones when I took T4 + T3 and needed to increase the T3.

I detest it when people write something but put one of the most important words in quotes. As in "may", above.

Just what are they trying to say by doing that? All I can take from it is that they have neither the confidence nor the evidence to use that word without quotes, or a more definite statement which is clear.

I want some decent evidence. We complain an awful lot when the medical establishment works on inadequate data.

Thanks for the heads up Clare. I have stopped taking Naturethroid and moved on to Thyroid S; I've had to increase my previous NT dose a bit, but am starting to feel better now. I was beginning to feel really off on the new NT. Of course, the law of s*d meant that I'd stocked up on over a ton's worth 🙄 Then there was the Thyroid S to buy...💷💷💷💷💷

Jazzw how are you feeling? I know that you were not feeling tiptop on the new NT either...

Well... :) I felt awful taking 3 of the one grain tablets (my usual dose). But for a time, my drug dealer ;) supplied 2 grain tablets so I bought some. And when I switched to those (taking one and a half), I started to feel much much better, and when I tested bloods a month later, they were back to being good. Which is a little odd but perhaps it’s not impossible that the first pills off the new production line weren’t as good as they could have been. I’m now taking them in 1.5 grain quantities (so taking 2) and so far so good.

I do wish RLC would hurry up and get back to supplying all the different grain sizes at the same time).

Framboise and Rapunzel - which size Nature Throid tabs were you/have you been taking? One grain tabs? See my reply above.

Yep: One grain tabs. What a conundrum...to go back and have another go (my previous preferred strength 1.5 grain tabs...) or carry on with Thyroid S. The latter ATM I think. I have 800 of the little critters to take before the bottle's empty, whilst the NT tabs which "may" be off languish in my wardrobe 😞

I’d carry on with the Thyroid S too, I think.

It was desperation on my part that made me order more. I have a pot of 2 grains which I may combine with the 1-grainers and see how I go, once my 1.5 grain pot is done in another month or so. Don’t have high hopes that’ll work too well but I hate the idea of wasting something so expensive.

What puzzles me is why? Why do they keep changing the ingredients of our medications. I have struggled to find something that suits me, and start to feel better, then suddenly it's all change again, and have to be looking for another product. Very disappointing!

How do you know if you have new NT?

Are there any serial numbers that can identify them?

Clare1971 profile image
Clare1971 in reply toHashi-Monster

Maybe the only way to tell is by taking it . People on the FB Page STTM have only found out after taking it and then feeling rubbish , which is awful . Why play with medication that people desperately need to live . Makes me mad ....
