Can someone put pay to this debate please. Should I hold off talking my Thyroxine 24hrs before having a blood test. Or is this really not needed I'm confused?

If you take your levo close to the test, all you will be tested is the dose you just took, not what is normally circulating in your blood. Whether it is really necessary to leave the full 24 hours or something slightly less is still debatable. But if you normally take it in the morning, it's best to take it after the blood draw, rather than before. So, it's convenient to say 24 hours. :)

Hi Greygoose

Yes I normally take it in the morning so you reckon its best to hold off until after the test?
