Ok to split 50 levo?

Hi is it ok to half my 50 levo down to 25 even though there is no split mark? MP t4 until i get the 25 from chemist thanks

Yes - but...

Split one tablet, take one half today, the other half tomorrow. Make sure the crumbs are not lost.

The level of variation day to day that splitting causes is not usually significant.

Avoid doing bulk splitting - you could find yourself taking the smaller halves (ha!) several days in succession. Or, as some manufacturers have claimed, the active ingredient might not be evenly distributed.

Many apparent score lines on tablets are absolutely not intended to aid, assist or indicate splitting. Some companies have claimed they allow the tablet to be broken (if having issues swallowing a whole tablet) and/or identification. Wouldn't be at all surprised if the tablet design is historical and no-one has actually properly tested whether the score lines are, or are not, helpful and reliable.

Due to the long half-life of thyroxine splitting is no problem. I don't even bother to split I just take a tablet on alternate days.

Whereas I find myself much happier on 112.5 every day than alternating 100 and 125.

Alright thanks all right now im on a t4 t3 combo t3 only just was not working again for me like it used to so now im on 75 t4 and 10 t3 however before this i was on 50 t4 20 t3 for about 6 weeks but i hope this just helps out.

I know that when im changing these doses to expect more symptoms until my body gets used to the change i just hope it works for me.
