Hi All,

How fast and how often and how much would you say it's safe to increase your dose of T3?

Thanx

Can you provide more information Zuzka: do you take levothyroxin too( how much before adding/swopping to T3?); why have you added/swopped to T3 ( proven poor conversion/ levothyroxin intolerant...); have you got your Vit D, B12, folate and ferritin up to near optimal; what brand of T3 and dose you started with, when...... ? Have you some complete thyroid blood test to share to post?

I’ve been taking T3 and Eurythal for about 2 years. I still have symptoms. I self medicate with the T3. I need to be on a higher dose I’m quite sure...

Do you have your latest blood test results with ranges. You haven’t given us anything to go on. Amount of T3/T4. What vitamins you take. What symptoms? When do you take each dose of t3&t4

Sorry!

bloods from mid May:

FT4 10.4 (9.0-19.0)

FT3 4.4 (2.9-4.9)

TSH 0.0025 (0.400-3.100)

I take vit C. I eat a ketogenic diet. I cannot loose weight - I have zero libido.

I take all thyroid tablets at 7am.

I take 1 x Eurythal and 2.5 T3 tablets.

Eurythal is French. It’s a combined T4 and T3 tablet.

It’s 80mch T4 and 20mch T3. 😊

Hi,

So 80 mcg of T4 and 82.5 mcg T3 ( 20 mcg + 2.5 x 25 mcg) ? I’m assuming your T3 is 25 mcg per tablet?

Any Selenium, Vit D, Vit D3, Vit B, iron, calcium, magnesium?

Zuzka1 in reply toEbonyEvans

Yes it is...I buy it on line.

It’s 82.5

20 from Eurythal.

25 each tablet plus oh half tablet.

Yes I take magnesium and potassium and Vit C.

I don’t take anything else...I was told that on keto I don’t need supplements but I’m wondering now if that’s the wrong advice?

I have at home selenium, zinc and D3 with K2. And VitB should I take them all again?

Your FT3 is good at 3/4 way through the range. You have not said what your symptoms are. Do you know if you have thyroid autoimmune antibodies, Hashimoto's disease ( need to have TgAb and TPO antibodies tested), that can lead to poor gut absorption and low nutrients, even from a Paleo diet. Perhaps it is your VitD, B12, folate and ferritin that are low that are giving you problems.

I have hashimotos.

My FT3 needs to be at the top of the range if not over I believe.

I am Ketogenic.

I cannot Loose weight at all.

I have zero libido.

Sorry re Paleo diet- but perhaps low carbs diet doesn't suit you. If you are Hashi then chances are you are not able to absorb nutrients in gut well- worth getting VitD, B12, folate and ferritin tested....and supplement if necessary to get to upper part of ranges. If you think you need FT3 to be above range try it again - without seeing history of your blood tests, and why you are on such a high dose of T3 already, plus T4- it is difficult to suggest how - could raise T4 by 25 mcg, or T3. I'm on both but would only get ncrease my 25 mcg T3 by 6.25 mcg for two weeks, then add another 6.25mcg etc...
