thyroid-formaldehyde connection

Haven't read the link yet. But do I know the effects of formaldehyde and thyroid issues?!
When I had thyroid crises, I could not walk into clothes section in supermarket! Same with our new fabric suite. New car upholstery. It was a terrifying experience, as not had reactions to food or stuff before, ever!
I will look forward to reading this later. Thank you for posting.
Thanks very much for posting.

Used to be given formaldehyde lozenges for sore throats. Yes, that is me. Not "in the 18th century".
I worked in NHS histopathology! Tissues soaked in formaldehyde! That's when we weren't working for the other pathologist who liked us to use I think it was mercuric chloride solution. (Brain rusty/pickled after all these years!) I do also have a strong family history of hypo but think I am the only one with Hashi's!
