My FT4 and FT3 are in range - I am not over medicated. I take 75mcg of T4 and 20mcg of T3. However, the endo has reduced my Levo to 25mcg because my TSH is suppressed. I am well - feel great. I can walk and do some exercises for the first time in a long time. I eat healthily and take supplements.
I will become hypo on this reduction.
What are my choices to get my Levo reinstated.

My advice is to listen to Grey Goose. She is a life saver. I argued with my dr. To give me t-3 and he finally did. Her knowledge on thyroid is remarkable. I hope you can get this fixed. Stay well
Oh dear, another silly diabetes specialist who knows nothing about thyroid but thinks it's easy to treat!
The stupid man should know that someone taking T3 will have a suppressed TSH. And it doesn't matter! It is suppressed because the pituitary has sensed that there's enough thyroid hormone circulating in the blood, and you don't need TSH anymore. So, reducing the T4 probably won't make much difference to the TSH. But I wouldn't expect an endo to know that.
Whether or not you will become hypo depends on how well you convert. Do you have any labs from being on T4 only? I imagine you're on T3 because you didn't convert very well. But, you're just going to have to wait and see. We can't predict these things, I'm afraid.
As to how you can get your levo back, can you ask for a second opinion? I would have refused to lower my dose when he mentioned it. I would have said it's my body, my life and my health - you don't have to live with the consequences of lowering my dose! - I will take whatever risk may be involved (there isn't any risk) in keeping my TSH suppressed.
Thank you for responding. I did tell her that under no circumstances do I want my meds reduced and explained why. I also said that over medication causes bone and heart problems and she just looked at me blankly. No one was at home. Very narrow thinking.
I will be writing to the Head of that Department but wanted to arm myself first. I will also be writing to my GP.
