I am taking Teva because I am lactose intolerant. Does anybody know if there is another lactose free T4 available in the UK, because Teva gives me insomnia. I have not slept properly for 3 months.
Also, can one purchase NDT T4 only? My endocrinologist is reluctant to give me T3 as I have a very high pulse rate on Teva - resting pulse of between 96 and 105.
Presumably you have Hashimoto's also called autoimmune thyroid disease? Have you had both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested?
Are you also gluten intolerant? Have you had Coeliac blood test and/or tried strictly gluten free diet
Can you add your most recent TSH, FT4 and FT3 results. Likely you have low vitamin D, folate, B12 and or ferritin if you have not had these tested and supplementing
Can you add results and ranges if you had these tested

Liquid Levothyroxine is lactose free. It's expensive so they don't like to offer it
A side question - if you definitely react to caesin but aren't sure about lactose, is it worth getting a lactose intolerance test?

The only UK lactose free Levo tablet is Teva. There are oral solutions and imported tablets if your GP is willing to prescribe. ThyroidUK has a list of all ingredients for thyroid hormone replacement in this pdf

There is no T4 only NDT. NDT contains both T4 and T3, along with some T2 and T1, as it is made from pigs thyroid gland so will contain all the hormones.
