First blood tests - 6wks on

Hello. I had my bloods this morning so didn’t take my levo (which I normally take first thing)

My question is, when can I take it today? Do I need to leave 4hrs after eating before taking it?

I’d take it as early as possible, I take mine on the car park outside straight after the test. Have been known to have breakfast in the car too and wait till I felt well enough to drive home. Food can impair absorption but it doesn’t stop it altogether, take Levo first with lots of water and food after.

Usually recommended on here to get test as early as possible in morning and fast before testing, (but drink plenty of water) that way you can take Levo immediately after blood test. Then wait an hour for breakfast

Thanks both. I did my MediChecks test first thing this morning while fasting but did my GP one after my cereal (couldn’t get an earlier appt) because my previous ones with my GP were under the same conditions. I’ll take it later today before bedtime leaving 4hrs after dinner.

Many of us prefer taking it at bedtime anyway and possibly more effective taken at bedtime

(Still Delay taking until after blood test if taking at bedtime)
