I finally got the result of the SST of 14th May, this morning. The Consultant Endo says in the letter that the results were 'reassuringly normal with baseline cortisol 253nmol/L rising to 493 with synacthen.'
This still seems low to me from what I have read...but thankfully probably not Addison's but perhaps secondary hypopituatary?
What questions should I ask? What should I do now?

If you are on Facebook then post the results of the UK Addisons info & support group, they should be able to help you. Your adrenals responded well to the Synacthen as it should double which your more or less did. Your cortisol is slightly low first thing so as you say it might be secondary adrenal insufficiency. Sadly many Endo's don't have enough knowledge of adrenal/pituitary issues.
