The recent HU thyroid cancer survey.

I just got thrown off the thyroid cancer survey never to be let back in! There was a question which asked if you had been treated for thyroid cancer over the past 3 years. Well, Yes and No. If one has thyroid cancer one is treated for that cancer thereafter but did I have cancer during the past three years, no, I had it much longer ago. The question should have read something like, "Did you have your cancer surgery in the past 3 years?", if indeed that is what they wanted to know. I suspect you lost a lot of data points very early on with that ambiguity.

BTW, I was not doing this for the money, I just wanted to help you collect statistical information.

LAHs , That survey is nothing to do with us here on Thyroid UK.

You need to send your feedback to HealthUnlocked as they are the ones in control of these things. Here's a link to contact them support.healthunlocked.com/...

I had the same experience. It's happened to me a handful of times before replying to emails from healthunlocked.

They send you an email really begging you to take part in something, then 2 questions in they just kick you to a blank screen saying YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THIS SURVEY.

Quite an abrupt and unpleasant experience.

In general I don't click through emails like that. I have for healthunlocked because I'm very grateful for what I get from this forum. But that might be the last time :p After all, it's not really healthunlocked that helps us, it's ThyroidUK.

It's quite amazing how many people, writing surveys, have no idea how to write a survey! It doesn't surprise me in the slightest. And, for that reason, I will rarely do surveys, these days.

In the past, I have come across a few "surveys" which seemed more or less acceptable (even if not very good). Followed by the setter saying that they couldn't care about your answers, the whole thing was more of a psychological test.

That is one reason I never fill in surveys unless they come from super-trustworthy sources. On top of the impossibility of answering so many of them, as you point out.

Good heavens! I've never seen that! That would put me off even more.

Yes, that's really creepy.

I was asked to do it too but I just deleted the email.
