my new endo would like me to have a Insulin tolerance test (ITT) done as my previous Short synacthen test was borderline - I think I have Secondary Adrenal Insufficiency due to a pituitary tumour.
I wanted to get it done quickly rather than wait 3 months as just feel so ill all the time. However the hospital have said it costs £2400!!!! ??? Not possible unfortunately but I cant believe it really costs that much?
Has anyone had a ITT done privately and was it this expensive?
