Hi,

I feel all symptoms of low Cortisol, blood test says opposite, i was thinking to try HC and see if there is any improvements, I don’t know dosages , I’m pretty sure that is not thyroid because I don’t feel thyroid symptoms.

thanks.

Do not try HC without getting tested first. You could shut down your adrenals forever!

what should to test , it's confused because blood test about adrenal not accurate, my doctor told me to do Synacthen test that's for Addison's disease , or should to do Adrenal Saliva test ?, what should to do exactly ??

24 hour saliva test. That measures your cortisol 4 times during the day and shows the pattern. But, if your early morning cortisol isn't very low, you do not need HC.

Please do NOT take Hydrocortisone if your results are in normal range. If you take Hydrocortisone you will end up needing to take it for life as your adrenal glands will shut down! There is no way you want to do that! I take Hydrocortisone to live as my body does not produce cortisol. An Endo will only do a Synacthen blood test if your am blood cortisol levels are low, the test is for adrenal insufficiency/Addisons. Saliva tests are not accurate for picking up low levels of cortisol in the body, the blood test is the best one.
