I was lead blind for over 30 yrs. with doctors! :/ Loving the web and being able to educate ourselves with the help of people going through the same nightmares. I've learned to ask many many questions! :D

There is a guideline which requests that you let people know why they might wish to follow a link and what they will find there. Please add a sentence to explain.

If you do not, some people will just go straight past and not look even though they might have been interested. Others will follow and look and then wonder why they wasted their time and bandwidth.

14. If you post a link, please at least explain briefly what people can expect to find if they follow the link. Links without such an introduction/explanation may be deleted.

Don't worry - I am only pointing it out!

It is best if your comment is in the body of the post - something like this:

An interesting article and supportive of what we are always saying on here with the exception perhaps of myth 5.

I agree with Helvella it would have been helpful to write a sentence to explain what the article was about.

Interesting about TSH : can anyone please briefly explain why suppressed TSH could be harmful ? Or is it not ? Like this article says ?

I don’t know about people but in dogs osteoporosis is unheard of even in hypothyroids - even heart problems ( although recently Vit D importance and having it sufficient is getting a lot of attention for heart failure and chronic kidney disease and dogs suffer those hugely )

Some dog reference ranges on TSH list 0.00 - ?? On TSH ? Dogs do get high doses and I think often over supplemented though

Anyways interested to read more about TSH if anyone has any links please ?

Darcyl......what an excellent article...thank you!! I weaned myself off NDT two years ago and have not felt this good in 30 years! After 25 yrs of every single doctor telling me it was life threatening to come off my thyroid meds!!! The lack of knowledge and pressure by pharmaceutical companies to propagate this myth is horrendous to the unsuspecting and trusting patients.

This article can be a life changer to many people who read it....thank you.
