Mri scan privately Hasimotos/adrenals

Does anyone know if and where you can pay for an mri scan privately, but not need a gp referral letter to have it done. I just want to book a scan turn up and pay for it, without needing a letter from my useless gp who has already refused to write one.

Thank you

Maybe ring round the private hospitals - Spire, Nuffield, BMI, etc, see if they will do self referrals.

Check out some of the links Google throws up google.co.uk/search?ei=Ab_2...

Hi

I had mine done at a BMI hospital and paid £316.00, but I had to have a referral and the results went to my Endocrinologist.

In response to my post someone said they got one done via thisismy.co.uk

They said you don’t need a referral and results come to you directly. It was half the price as well.

Best wishes

Hope you saw my 2nd reply, with the link for no referral scan.

I haven’t used them, I remember another member posting it after they had it done there.

Best wishes
