Discontinued Liothyronine?

Hi all, my name is Alison & I've been diagnosed hypothyroid for around 14 years. I was prescribed the levothyroxine but was still majorly symptomatic so I was referred to an Endocrinology consultant. He was fabulous, entered me into a research group & prescribed me with a combination of Levo and Lio, which worked... So very well, I was a new woman! This Wednesday my GP has decided to stop issuing prescriptions for my liothyronine because the CCG tell them they have to, despite the fact that I remain consultant led & he advises that I continue to receive the Lio.

I was under the impression that a decision had been made so that people who were consultant led & already receiving the Lio would continue to do so, is this right?

Can anyone point me towards a definitive answer on this issue so I have something to fight with as I'm getting conflicting responses from the GP, Endocrinologist & the CCG?
