You don’t have to wait until your period is over. Thyroid tests are done any day of your cycle. The results are independent of your female hormones.

The tests you need to test your thyroid are: a hormone from your pituitary gland called TSH, and thyroid hormones FT3 and FT4. If your doctor leaves one of these tests out, your results will be incorrect and inconclusive. If you haven’t already tested your thyroid antibodies, these also need to be tested. They are called. TPOab and TGab.

Thanks in addition to this thinking of checking ferritin too

You’re welcome. If you’re in s country that does complete iron testing, not just ferritin (very incomplete and inconclusive of your iron status), then it would be best to get a complete iron panel. Also, have you tested Vitamin D lately? How about B12?

Ya some months back did ferritin d and b12

If this is a private blood test via Medichecks or Blue Horizon wait until a working day, not Bank holiday or it will sit in post box uncollected
