Headache

Please can I ask if anyone suffered a headache upon waking . When I get up it fades quite quickly. I have taking my blood pressure for the last few mornings and to start with it’s been about 150/80 If I do it again over the next hour it comes down to 110/70 typically.

I’m will do my T s this coming Tuesday but I am wondering what your thoughts are re dosing , worried it’s T3 a bit high .

I take 50. T4 and 20mcg T3 . Which I take together when going to the loo in the night , usually about 3.30am

Don’t want to go to blood pressure clinic as T3 is sure to be considered the problem ☹️

Any help would be very good.

Have you tried splitting your t3 into 2 doses, it may help.

Thankyou for replying. That is a good idea x

You body is experiancing some kind of stress early morning for you BP to go up like that.I think you might benefit from the cortisol saliva testing.I am suspecting your cortisol is either too low or too high early morning.

Hello. I have some thoughts. First, please talk with your GP because morning headaches can indicate a serious problem.

Your dose sounds high to me. I am on 15 mg (20 occasionally if needed) of T3 daily with no Levo and my starting point was a TSH of over 95 (ninety-five). Also, I'd question the wisdom of taking it during the night because during the night we convert T4 (your Levo) to T3. T3 is used up with exercise, so that timing might not be good and I wonder if that could affect your b/p.

My endo said T3 can cause headaches.
